Workshop 1 In Class Exercise

This exercise is to be done in class and could be continued as homework. This exercise is the basic of architectural drawing such as the plan, section, and elevation. There are some task that were done in the class each week.

In Class Exercise 1


The first task in this workshop is to draw a cup's plan, section, elevation, and still life drawing. The scale is 1:1 and there are also the little plate for the cup. In this exercise, the measurement is very important and it will help student to improve the skill in the real architectural drawing.

In Class Exercise 2


For week two, the focus is the rendering technique. The first drawing is just to complete the drawing given and then add some shadow effect. The second exercise is to draw a chosen place by student using rendering technique. The drawing should not have any single line, it should be render to using different thickness of the pencil to create object.


In Class Exercise 3

For the last week before submission, the student are required to draw Rose Seidler House and place it on the lawn outside the Red Center. This will test the student skill in using appropriate scale and clarity on the perspective drawing. The House size should be able to match the background and the site provided. Thus, the student's skill will improve and they will understand the House for the final submission more.
