Workshop 6 Final Submission



The building used for the final submission was the Law building. The aim is to draw 9 - 15 vignettes that describe the journey from outside the building to a room that will be the focus of activity. There are 5 words that become the main aspect in the images of the storyboarding. First word is facade, which usually make people notice the building. This is because of the distinctive facade that the building has. It has various shape and geometry in different angle. The second word is the materiality, which could be seen quite clear inside the Law building. For instance, the different use of timber panel, concrete, and transparent glass for different purpose. For the next word, experience, is an important aspect of buildings. In this building, the spatial experience could be categorized as complex. Some spaces could be seen within the building. The fourth word is paths, that mean the alternative paths from one space to the other space inside the building. The path not only lead to one place but separate into many paths to other places. The last word is shape. In particular, the shape and form of the exterior as well as interior. The form of the exterior various geometric abstract shape, while the interior has trapezoidal shape timber panel. Both exterior and interior create different form and experience.
